This week’s Team Member Tuesday features Dylan Plane, Team Lead – Territory Management at Travelers Haven. “There are many things that I love about Travelers Haven, but my favorite is the opportunity. There is so much opportunity here to learn and grow, you just have to seek it out. Most companies Executive Leadership won’t give you the time of day, but at Travelers Haven our leadership is always willing to meet with you to help you learn more and help develop your professional career. If you work hard and take initiative, it won’t go unrecognized,” said Dylan.
Plane was born and raised in Colorado, he lived in Alamosa, CO for 10 years, before moving to Broomfield, CO. Dylan attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins where he studied Corporate Finance and Investment Analysis. Throughout college Dylan worked as a finance and calculus tutor for students with learning disabilities. After college he sold insurance for a year and realized it wasn’t for him, so he decided to buy a one-way ticket to Europe to backpack around for 3 months. He made it about 2 months and 1 week before I ran out of money and had to return home. In his free time Dylan enjoys working out, Broncos games, socializing with friends, and reading books on business and self-improvement.
What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
That’s a tough question but I would say not many people know that I spent a big chunk of my childhood working in my dad’s grocery store in Alamosa, CO. When working at the store, I stocked shelves and helped cut meat in the meat market…. But a lot of times I was caught building forts out of watermelon boxes or hiding behind the toilet papers in aisle 2 trying to scare customers.
Where’s one place you wish you traveled?
The next trip I would like to take would be Southeast Asia! It looks beautiful and I hear it is much cheaper than Europe so maybe this time I won’t run out of money as fast.
