Travelers Haven Celebrates 3,000 Active Leases with Matching Donations
After hitting a major growth milestone, the corporate housing provider gives back to global nonprofits and the state of Colorado with 3,000 new trees.

DENVER (July 2018) – Travelers Haven, one of the fourth-largest corporate housing companies in the United States, is celebrating its achievement of 3,000 active leases with two matching donations. The company is contributing $3,000 to both Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), a medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid in nearly 70 countries, and One Tree Planted. The global reforestation nonprofit works with local partners around the world to plant proper tree species and ensure their survival. For every dollar donated, One Tree Planted plants one tree.

In 2018, Travelers Haven set a new vision to be the largest and most loved corporate housing provider in the U.S. After reaching a record high for its active lease count, the company looked to share the profits of its growth with the communities that support it.

“It’s one of our core tenets to seek out and partner with causes that align with our own values,” says Elia Wallen, founder and CEO of Travelers Haven. “So we were inspired by the missions of Doctors Without Borders and One Tree Planted. We hope our $3,000 donations will contribute to their progress and the long-term environmental health of our region.”

Travelers Haven is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, a state currently dealing with several devasting wildfires and deforestation. Nearly 200,000 acres have been consumed by wildfires over the last few months. More than half of that destruction is attributed to the Spring Creek fire, the third-largest wildfire the state has ever seen. The loss of these trees significantly increases the risk of dangerous flooding, extreme erosion, degraded water quality and reduced water storage capacity in the area, according to One Tree Planted.

“We want to do our part in sustaining the natural beauty of Colorado and healing the recent destruction to its forests and wildlife,” says Wallen.
